 Now with a simple click, K-12 teachers and administrators will enter ScholarChip’s new enhanced portal and its suite of school safety and operations applications. The single PowerSchool sign-on gives access to ScholarChip’s smart ID card issuance for students and staff, building and classroom attendance, visitor management and tracking, cafeteria POS, door access, paperless referrals, and behavior intervention and tracking.

County Public Schools, one of the largest districts in the country, has installed 125 ScholarChip’s Visitor Management systems in its elementary, middle and high schools. Installation of 200+ buildings will be completed by June, 2018. With a population of more than 186,000 students in pre-K through grade 12, the district tracks thousands of visitors a day. Legacy HS Reduces Time to Take Attendance by 80 Percent with ScholarChip

ScholarChip® announces that Legacy High School (LHS) in Bismarck, N.D. has dramatically decreased the time required to take large group classroom attendance, from 20 minutes to about four minutes, an 80 percent decrease. Each student now carries a ScholarChip smart ID card; when they tap a reader positioned at one of four auditorium entrances they are immediately counted as “present.” It now takes about four minutes to obtain attendance for each class period instead of 20 minutes, an 80 percent decrease in time.

Brocton Public Schools, 4th Largest in Mass., Joins ScholarChip’s Growing Client Roster

ScholarChip® announces that its newest client, Brockton (Mass.) Public Schools, has purchased ScholarChip’s ID Manager, Building Attendance, Large Group Attendance, and Mobile Hallway Monitoring services. Brockton Public Schools is the fourth-largest school district in Massachusetts, serving 16,595 students in 23 schools. The program starts with ScholarChip’s ID Manager, which integrates with Brockton’s student information system and prints customized smart ID cards. Cards will be issued to students and staff, who will tap in at a kiosk located at four separate high school entrances. These kiosks will be used for building attendance as well as large group attendance activities like dances or sports events. Hallway monitoring allows staff to keep track of students using a mobile device like an iPad® to identify students, access schedules, and generate discipline notices.
