California Educators Invited to Attend Critical Thinking LIVE From Mentoring Minds
One-Day Event Features Keynote Address by Acclaimed Educator Karin K. Hess, Ed.D, Sessions on Critical Thinking, Formative Assessment
LOS ANGELES – July 15, 2016 – This fall, California educators will head back to school with fresh ideas for integrating critical thinking into teaching after attending Critical Thinking LIVE. The one-day professional development opportunity from national K-12 publisher, Mentoring Minds, will feature interactive sessions on formative assessment and fusing critical thinking with kinesthetic learning.
Acclaimed educator, speaker and author, Karin K. Hess, Ed.D, will deliver the keynote address, “Shifting Teacher and Student Roles: An Essential Component to Thinking that Leads to Transfer,” where she will share practical tips on how teachers can shift instruction to develop more complex and engaging tasks and support learners through strategic scaffolding.
