NEW YORK – May 14, 2014 – The nonprofit ReadWorks is the winner of the ed-tech industry’s top honor – the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Award. Named 2014’s Best Reading/ELL Instructional Solution for Education, the research-based, proven, state and Common Core-aligned reading comprehension curriculum is used by more than 700,000educators in all 50 states.

Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards honor outstanding achievement across the software, digital information and education technology industries. This year, nominated ed-tech products underwent an intensive review by educator judges from around the nation, and the finalists were selected by SIIA members.

ReadWorks provides research-based K-8 curriculum and guidance in reading comprehension directly to teachers online, for free, to be shared broadly. Its mission is to improve teacher effectiveness in teaching reading comprehension to increase student achievement and close the achievement gap.

The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) honors Dr. Leonard Hall and Sue Collins with the Lifetime Achievement and Ed Tech Impact Award, respectively. Dr. Hall, co-founder of education companies SkillsBank Corporation and Impact Education, and Collins, principal at CollinsConsults, will receive their awards during the upcoming Education Industry Summit, held May 12-14 in San Francisco. Collins and Dr. Hall are recognized for their contributions to the education technology industry.

SIIA Honors Industry Veterans with Lifetime Achievement, Ed Tech Impact and Best Overall Education Solution CODiE Awards

Three change-makers in education technology and one company recognized during the 13th annual Education Industry Symposium DENVER (July 27, 2016) – The Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) announced the recipients of three industry awards: Lifetime Achievement Award, Ed Tech Impact Award and Best Overall CODiE Education Solution. Mark McCusker, CEO of Texthelp Ltd. was honored with ETIN’s prestigious Education Lifetime Achievement Award. SIIA also presented its Ed Tech Impact Award to Michael Jay, President and Founder of Educational Systemics and Kevin Custer, Co-Founder of Arc Capital Development.
