Califone Launches Bluetooth Speaker to Support Computer and Mobile-Based Learning
San Fernando, Calif. (June 12, 2013) – Califone International, Inc. today announces the launch of its first Bluetooth Speaker (PA-BT30). The first speaker of its kind designed with presenters and teachers in mind features easy connectivity to any Bluetooth®-enabled mobile device and computer. It enables whole class and group learning activities in the classroom, and high-quality presentations in any meeting setting.
The Califone Bluetooth Speaker is compatible with a variety of mobile devices including Android® and iOS-based devices such as the Galaxy®, iPhone® and iPad®. The 30-watt speaker delivers room-filling (minimum 75 feet by 75 feet) sound, and is a practical alternative to complex audio amplification solutions in schools, churches, meeting rooms and other presentation settings.
The Bluetooth Speaker is designed for fast and easy classroom or meeting room setup, offering convenient connect-and-play audio streaming capabilities from any mobile device or computer. Since the speaker enables interactive group and whole class learning, educators have a variety of options when incorporating the technology into classroom activities. The speaker includes a USB charge port and auxiliary line input to allow for expanded device compatibility.
The Bluetooth Speaker can be incorporated into a variety of classroom settings. Teachers can use the speaker to stream songs from Pandora® for music classes or play classical music to inspire art students. Educators can even use the speaker to stream podcasts from iTunes U® or enhance audio on an iPad® from a Skype® chat or a virtual field trip.
Speakers are an important aspect of classroom technology because students who hear clearly are more likely to participate in class discussion, understand instruction and stay on task. With classroom audio amplification, English Language Learners can better hear appropriate linguistics and annunciation, improving their comprehension.
“The Bluetooth Speaker was designed to give educators an audio solution that is fast and simple to connect, and still provides high-quality sound amplification throughout the classroom,” said Tim Ridgway, vice president of marketing for Califone. “The speaker’s wireless capability is a perfect solution for a variety of settings that require supplemental audio, since it is compatible with an array of mobile devices, digital resources and apps. Pastors, business professionals and educators alike will enjoy the easy setup and the audience will appreciate the clear, crisp sound that resonates from the Bluetooth Speaker.”
