The Great Backyard Bird Count Is for Kids

2/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
Let’s hope there is good weather for the Great Backyard Bird Count from February 15-18. Use this site to find out about the activities to help learn to identify the birds in the winter landscape. Instructions tell you how to count birds and how to enter your checklist. That helps scientists follow where and how many birds there are in specific locations. In addition, you’ll find recipes for making bird treats, a game to help you learn the calls of common birds, information about bird coloration, and some jigsaw puzzles for you to solve. Get outside and listen, watch, and record your findings.
