Since launching last month, the Future Ready Pledge has been taken by school leaders representing more than 10 million students. The Future Ready Map video shows the current scope of the pledge. School districts that have taken the Future Ready Schools pledge have been encouraged to display the Future Ready badge on their websites to help publicize the initiative. I encourage every district to take the Future Ready Assessment that is available as part of this project through Metiri Group. The Blended Learning Universe (a product of Future Ready partner, Clayton Christensen Institute) is a set of online materials to help teachers make the move to a blended instructional environment. The Deeper Learning Project is another site worth considering for your wintertime review. The Alliance for Excellent Education also has some great resources on the Economic Impacts of good schools and the need for a strong public educational system. There will be 12 regional Future Ready Conference held this spring and summer, and I urge all district leaders to seriously consider taking a team to attend. You can register for more information about the summits after taking the pledge
