In July 2016, Walmart and Cengage, an education and technology company, announced a partnership to offer online accredited high school diplomas and industry skills certificates to Walmart employees through the Career Online High School (COHS) program.
Now, Cengage has announced that Walmart has expanded its partnership to offer all associates and their benefits-eligible family members the opportunity to earn accredited high school diplomas and career certificates. There is no cost to associates or their family members.
Career Online High School (COHS) is designed to reengage adults in education and is free for Walmart associates and eligible family beginning on the first day of their employment. In addition to an accredited high school diploma, program graduates earn a credentialed career certificate in one of eight high-growth, high-demand career fields.
