Today's Newsletter: Get a Move on With Edtech

Plucked a couple of interesting stories this weekend about how education technology can make students more active, not screen-addictedcouch potatoes. Kerry Gallagher in Edsurge reviews a number of apps that gets kids out of their chairs and into activities: “After notifying administrators–just to ensure there isn’t some other school event that would interfere–use edtech tools and students’ mobile devices to move the lesson beyond your classroom walls and spill into the hallways. And Danny Smith on Tupelo, Mississippi’s djournal.com details a most simple and elegant application: “The lessons appear to be heightening the students’ attentiveness and improving their listening skills. And, it may be a safe bet that the mere nature of the program helps students develop an out-of-the-box mentality that is increasingly critical to success in today’s business world and the one these young Saltillo students will embrace.” Have any example yourself?
