Open Labs, LLC. (openlabs.com) released Stagelight EDU - music education software designed for the classroom. Available for the leading education operating systems, Stagelight EDU provides an all-in-one experience for fine arts educators to adopt music creation curricula into their music, dance, theater and visual arts classes.

Stagelight EDU has been developed, tested and promoted throughout various pilot programs, educational institutions and partnerships, including the Texas Cultural Trust, the University of Texas, Lenovo and Intel.

Stagelight EDU includes customizable lesson plans, a state-approved curriculum and inspiring in-app and online tutorials that provide lessons through step-by-step instructions. Teachers can instantly assign a variety of projects from one of the 26 included 101-301 style lessons, or they can choose to create their own lessons with Stagelight’s Curriculum Creator which can be distributed digitally, via SongTransfer, to students’ devices in the classroom. Students will learn the basics of music production, how to create songs, work with audio loops, play instruments, compile and perform mashups, record MIDI, mixdown tracks, share songs and much more.
