Networking solution upgrades

Aerohive Networks, has announced the general availability of its HiveOS 5.1 and HiveManager 5.1, which provide several upgrades, including Bonjour Gateway and recently announced JAMF Software Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration

In addition to the release of 5.1, Aerohive is delivering two new 802.11n access points (APs): AP121 and AP141. Designed to provide greater throughput and coverage, these two new APs are offered at a cost-effective price point for education, healthcare, retail and distributed enterprise environments.

Bonjour Gateway, announced in March, enables management and control of Apple’s® “Zero-Configuration Networking” technology, called Bonjour®, to make services such as AirPrint™ and AirPlay® usable across large, multi-subnet networks regardless of the underlying topology.

HiveManager and HiveManager Online have been upgraded to version 5.1 to include enhanced reporting functionality, secure auto-configuration for branch routers and topology folders

The two new 2x2:2 802.11n access points (APs): AP121 and AP141 include high powered radios and high RX sensitivity that provide high performance, better coverage, and lower error rate

Pricing and Availability: AP121, AP141, HiveOS 5.1 and HiveManager 5.1 are available immediately. The AP121 and AP141 are available starting at $649 US list price. HiveOS/HiveManager 5.1 is free of charge to existing customers with software support.
