The School for Global Education & Innovation Announces 2012-13 PD Offerings

The School for Global Education & Innovation (SGEI) at Kean University announced their lineup of professional development offerings for the 2012-13 school year. Among those is The Kean Institute for the Common Core, a new series which offers over 20 different individual courses on topics focused around the implementation of the Common Core Standards. The series kicks off with a webinar on October 4. Also new this year are six Get Going with Google Workshops, which run from October 2012 - April 2013. Each workshop is taught by Lisa Thumann, a Google Apps for Education Certified Teacher, who has presented at 10 different Google Teacher Academies. Other featured offerings include a series of iPad Workshops.

SGEI is also presenting a Mobile Learning Summit for New York and New Jersey educators at Kean University on November 2, 2012. The day-long Summit will feature eight concurrent working sessions on topics such as implementing BYOD in a large K-12 district, iPad implementation and mobile devices for formative assessment.

Other featured SGEI conferences taking place at Kean University include The Common Core and Curriculum Mapping on March 13, 2013 and a Google Apps Summit on March 14 and 15, 2013.
