NBC Learn, the educational arm of NBC News, released today five new videos in the “Science Behind The News” series, produced in partnership with National Science Foundation (NSF). The videos illuminate the STEM concepts behind unique topics related to issues in the news. “Science Behind The News” collection of 12 videos is available to teachers and students for free at NBCLearn.com.

New videos released today include the following:
