published
Lost in the recent cacophony of shutdown and sequesters in Washington D.C. is the news that Richard Culatta was officially named head of the Office of Education Technology (OET) for the Department of Education (DOE). Culatta was the keynote speaker at Tech&Learning’s CIO Summit this summer in Texas and indulged us with an interview you can read here . I hope and expect he will continue to be a great source of information for us going forward. Also, Edsurge confirms that Jim Shelton will continue is his role as assistant deputy secretary for innovation and improvement for the DOE. You can get a good idea of his big picture vision for tech in schools here. ~Kevin Hogan
