Lumosity Education Access Program Provides Free Cognitive Training

Lumosity has provided free Lumosity subscriptions to over 14,000 students in 500 classrooms worldwide through the Lumosity Education Access Program (LEAP).

LEAP is a collaboration between educators and Lumosity researchers that provides educators with a research platform, including free Lumosity subscriptions to study the effects of cognitive training on students’ learning abilities, behavioral characteristics, and academic performance.

Preliminary results from the Spring 2012 semester found that students who trained with Lumosity improved more on a battery of online cognitive assessments than students who did not train.

The deadline to apply for the Spring 2014 semester is Nov. 8, 2013. Educators interested in participating in LEAP can determine their eligibility and fill out the initial LEAP interest application at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/applyforleap.
