This week, PBS KIDS announced its annual PBS KIDS Writers Contest – a contest for kindergarteners, first, second and third graders that encourages kids to write and illustrate their own stories.
Stations will select local winners who then move on to the national level, where a panel of judges will select winners. Winners receive a prize pack that includes LeapFrog’s award-winning LeapReader Reading and Writing System.
Kids can enter the contest and check out past winners at http://pbskids.org/writerscontest.
