Florida Virtual School (FLVS®) Full Time inducted its first students into the National Honor Society (NHS) on Feb. 4, 2014. Established in 1921, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Family members and faculty attended the virtual ceremony, which celebrated the 26 students who achieved the National Honor Society distinction. Mawi Asgedom, bestselling author, founder of Mawi Learning and president of NHS when he was in high school, was a featured guest speaker.
