CUE 2014 Conference Opens in One Week

This year’s Annual CUE Conference, “CUE the Learning,” takes place March 20 – 22 in Palm Springs, California.

Keynote speakers:

Salman Khan
, founder of the Khan Academy nonprofit, who will speak about the “One Room Schoolhouse: Education Reimagined.”

LeVar Burtonwill explore digital literacy and the new RRKidz app.

Dan Meyer will discuss "Capturing, Sharing, and Resolving Perplexity," and will describe how "perplexity" is one of the scarcest resources in the classroom and how to pick tools and technology to maximize it.

Spotlight Speakers:

Mark Coppin, an Apple Distinguished Educator, is Director of Assistive Technology at the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown, North Dakota. His sessions will focus on iPads and apps for education.

Hall Davidson's contributions to education include work with think tanks, teachers, superintendents, and consortiums from across the world. Hall's talks include "Where Exactly Are You Going with That?" and "Build a New 3 “R’s” ScavengeR Hunt and Find Out."

Gwyneth A. Jones, aka The Daring Librarian, is a Google Certified Teacher, DEN Star, an elected member of the ISTE Board of Directors, and the author of the Daring Librarian blog. Her sessions will reveal "10 Ways to be a Library Marketing Genius Like Gaga" and "Secrets of the Remix Mash Up YouTube Generation (Digital Citizenship Summit)."
