Lexia Reading® Core5®, the pre-K–5 technology-based reading program, is now available as an Android app. Downloadable from the Google Play store at http://tinyurl.com/l96cr5s, the new appallows students to use Lexia Reading Core5 on phones and tablets running Android 2.3 and higher.

Lexia Reading Core5 provides literacy skills development for students of all abilities through personalized learning paths, with scaffolding and instruction that supports students if they struggle. Each of the age-appropriate, skill-specific activities conforms to state standards, including the Common Core.

Students will now have greater access to the program in tablet-enabled classrooms and computer labs, and they can extend their use outside of the school day in blended learning environments.

Lexia Reading Core5 Selected by State of Kansas for Statewide Reading Program

State to Provide Free Access to Technology-based Reading Instruction for Hundreds of Elementary Schools   BOSTON—June 18, 2013—The State of Kansas has established a two-year pilot program for improving reading outcomes using educational technology and has chosen to implement Lexia Reading Core5™ based on a review of stringent requirements. The state budget includes up to $6M in both 2014 and 2015 to implement the program, providing as many as 50,000 students in grades pre-K–5 with free access to Lexia Reading Core5. There is no cost to the schools chosen to participate in the pilot program as long as they meet minimum usage requirements. Lexia’s research-proven reading approach is currently used by approximately 20 percent of elementary schools throughout the state.

Students Complete Record Number of Reading Skills Activities on Lexia Reading Core5

BOSTON (August 13, 2015) – Lexia Learning®, a Rosetta Stone® (NYSE:RST) company, today announced that students using the Lexia Reading® Core5® pre-K–5 fundamental literacy program reached a significant milestone last school year—and they are poised to surpass that achievement in the upcoming year. In a recent national analysis of student progress from the 2014–15 school year, Lexia found that students mastered 15.3 million reading skills in Lexia Reading Core5.

Utah Department of Education Adds Lexia Reading Core5 to List of Approved K–3 Reading Improvement Instructional Programs

Boston — Sept. 8, 2015 — Lexia Learning, the literacy division of Rosetta Stone (NYSE:RST), today announced that its Lexia Reading® Core5® pre-K–5 fundamental literacy program has been named by the Utah State Office of Education as one of only three approved providers of adaptive reading technology for Utah’s Early Intervention Program for grades K–3. The Lexia Reading Core5 program was named to Utah’s approved vendor list after it received the highest evaluation score during a comprehensive review process of 11 other literacy programs. Utah educators can now implement Lexia Reading Core5 with the knowledge that it has been successfully reviewed and found to meet or exceed all of the technical requirements outlined by the Utah Procurement Code.
