21st Century Skills Math Map Released

The Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21) has just released the 21st Century Skills Math Map. The release of this latest educator resource coincides with the Mathematics Awareness Month.

Rounding out P21's existing library of content maps for English, Social Studies, Science, Geography, the Arts, and World Languages, the P21 Math Map was designed in collaboration with the nation's leading math educators, and with the support of the Mathematical Association of America, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

As the majority of states work to design and improve curricula that align with Common Core State Standards (CCSS), the release of this new resource provides an opportunity for education leaders to implement learning models that integrate core academic content mastery (the 3Rs) with the complex critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration, communication, and creativity and innovation skills (the 4Cs) required for student success in school, life and the workplace.

"P21 has been a leader in developing the unified Framework for 21st Century Learning which represents the intersection of college and career readiness," explained Tim Magner, P21 Executive Director, "and the P21 Math Map is an excellent tool to integrate STEM curriculum with 21st Century Skills."

The P21 Math Map (along with the rest of the 21st Century Skills content maps) is available for download free of charge.
