Thomas C. Russell has been named director of technology at Cook County (IL) School District 130, which has schools in Crestwood, Alsip, and Blue Island.
Russell, who joins the district following two years as IT director at Chicago-based Civitas Schools, has more than 16 years of experience in IT. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer technology from Perdue University in 1995 and a master’s in information systems security from Colorado Technical University in 2006.
