Professional development for Common Core State Standards English

ePals, Inc. today announced the next generation of In2Books eMentoring program in collaboration with International Reading Association (IRA). In2Books delivers an end-to-end, scalable digital mentoring program that helps teachers learn and teach the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards to improve reading, writing and critical thinking skills.

"In2Books brings together adult role models, a common core curriculum, and high-quality IRA professional development in a digital program available anytime, anywhere," said Nina Zolt, Founder of In2Books and ePals, Inc. "With the broad adoption of the Common Core State Standards and the right technology in schools, it is now possible to engage students, at scale, in 24/7 authentic, rigorous online learning that helps build the digital and literacy skills needed for college and career readiness.”

Facilitated through a classroom or after school environment, In2Books is a safe, comprehensive eMentoring program for grades 3-8 that includes curriculum, instruction, assessment and online professional development.

“Today’s most challenging social and educational issues can only be addressed if organizations operate in a more highly-leveraged, cooperative way,” said Mark Mullen, Executive Director of IRA. “By joining together, IRA and In2Books intend to get the most out of our strengths by mobilizing communities for the improvement of quality literacy instruction.”
