Kathe Santillo, School librarian, created this site for students at Butler Area Senior High School in Butler, Pennsylvania. Today the site includes links to more than 1,000 educational and curriculum-related sources selected especially for students.

How to use the site:
The site design supports information literacy skills by providing reference links and research tools for all phases of the research process: defining a topic; brainstorming sources; locating and evaluating information; and information synthesis. Santillo introduces the site to juniors during library orientation, and then reinforces its use with seniors. Links to library databases and the library catalog encourage use at home. Students and teachers may also download and keep printable PDF research tools for off-line reference.
