Recent news that college debt is reaching $1trillion should trigger discussion on financial benefits of attending college. This lesson plan helps students figure out a cost/benefit ratio of higher education, relationship of level of education and unemployment, and the correlation of level of education and weekly income. In addition there is information about kinds of financing that are available, how to fill out the FAFSA form, and how to put together all the information in helping make an informed decision of whether college is a good choice. There are links to videos, charts, and wage guidelines. Included are questions to use for assessment extension activities.
