The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has a fireworks information center that you really need to check out before the festivities begin on Fourth of July. A graphic shows the body parts most injured in a fireworks mishap. Just as a precaution, be very careful with your hands and fingers. A list of safety tips give you common sense safeguards and some that might not be so obvious, such as not buying fireworks that are packaged in brown paper. Click on the video that shows the dangers of sparklers, and maybe make plans to attend a community fireworks display rather than have one in your own back yard.
