This WebQuest uses information found on Iowa Public Television’s Explore More site. The focus of the project is to produce various newspaper articles based on research the student has done on one of four topics: water quality, the future of energy, genetic engineering, or working landscapes. After amassing the information, the student writes a general news article, human interest article, issue article, editorial, and letters to the editor. Your students will not only learn about a topic in depth, but also different ways to express their understanding of the topic.
