Brief Description of the Site:
This is a collection of Internet research tools and resources including tutorials, features, news, and reviews. The unique "Launchpads" provides ratings and short synopses of the best online research resources with links. One can find news, reviews, and features on Internet research, as well as tutorials for users of different levels. One of the site's unique features is these annotated lists of the best resources for search engines and directories. The Search Engine Help Files found in that section offer links to all the major search engines, a reason to bookmark that particular page. The Internet Research Tutorials cover "Boolean Basics". "Formulating Searches", and "Advanced Techniques. In a similar vein, but with a different slant, the "How to Find..." section organizes resources into topical categories (e.g., people, business intelligence, news, etc.). All these resources are designed to help people find what they are looking for faster and more efficiently. Research Launchpad strives to be the logical place to start your search.

How to use the site:
Search engines, meta search engines, directories, databases, and gateways are all clearly defined so that the desired type of search can be refined. A dictionary and thesaurus appear on the left toolbar of each page for quick reference. Find resources online. Learn how to search more effectively. Learn what is new and how to find the best tools for the job.
