August 26, 2015 (Boston, M.A.) – PCG Education is pleased to announce the release of its Paths to College and Career English Language Arts Curriculum for grades 6-12. Through its recent partnership with John Wiley and Sons, Inc., PCG Education will offer the curriculum in print and digital formats to educators nationally.

Paths to College and Career is the next generation of rigorous Common Core instructional materials. With engaging learning activities for students, helpful guidance for teachers, and a suite of tools to ensure student success, Paths is the first program for grades 6-12 that is built from scratch to support students’ achievement of today’s more rigorous learning standards.

Throughout Paths, students are supported as they gain critical knowledge and skills. Paths helps students learn to read closely and analytically, use evidence to make effective claims, research the answers to authentic questions, and synthesize ideas in writing.

PCG based Paths on its highly reviewed EngageNY curriculum, which has received accolades from teachers nationally and excellent results in independent reviews. “The PCG team is very proud to be able to expand access to this enhanced curriculum,” said Grant Blair, Director, PCG Education. “It’s an innovative program that deeply engages students and teachers, while contributing significantly to students’ readiness for college and careers. One important goal is to make both teachers’ and students’ jobs as manageable as possible by providing everything they need within the program.”

Wiley and PCG Education have taken the EngageNY curriculum to a new level, giving the materials a fresh, easy-to-read design. New components such as Teacher Resource Books and Student Journals and availability in digital versions improve the usability and convenience of the curriculum. To provide teachers with everything they need, reading selections used in Paths, articles, essays, poems, excerpts from novels, are reproduced and embedded in the curriculum.

The Paths to College and Career English Language Arts Curriculum will be available in fall of 2015. Learn more about Paths here: www.pathstocollegeandcareer.com.
