Charlotte N.C. – Feb. 11, 2016 – Assessment leader Apperson will host a free webinar on February 16, 2016 for K-12 administrators, department chairs, lead teachers and data coaches on how to use assessment data to improve curriculum, inform instruction, close achievement gaps and motivate students with the results of their learning.

The webinar will feature assessment expert Dr. Nancy Sindelar, an executive consultant on assessment for the American Association of School Administrators (AASA). Sindelar helps schools across the country meet the curriculum and assessment demands of the Common Core State Standards.

During the webinar, Sindelar will discuss:

·Using assessment data to strengthen the curriculum in order to improve learning

·Using assessment data to identify and close achievement gaps

·The complementary roles of summative and formative tests and how formative assessments can inform instruction and improve learning
