Learning.com Celebrates Teacher Superheroes during Teacher Appreciation Week

Portland, OR– April 26, 2018 –During Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7 through 11, school administrators are encouraged to nominate a teacher who goes above and beyond to equip their students with digital literacy skills needed for success on online assessments and in college and their future careers. Nominations can includeclassroomteachers, technology specialists, media specialists, and even school librarians that teach digital literacy skills. Nominations are due by Friday, May 25 at 5 p.m., and they can be filled out online: https://lrng.co/2HqWH3r

Thirty teachers from across the nation will be selected to win a one-year classroom subscription of EasyTech, Learning.com’s award-winning digital literacy curriculum.Winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

“This contest gives principals an opportunity to recognize the teacher superheroes, at their own schools, who are helping to prepare their students for success in our increasingly digital world,” said Learning.com CEO, Keith Oelrich. “Providing the winning teachers with a free subscription to EasyTech is Learning.com’s way of demonstrating our appreciation for the dedication, resources, and creativity it takes to deliver quality digital literacy instruction to students.”

To further honor the work teachers do to help students develop digital literacy skills, Learning.com has made customizable certificates of achievement available for school administrators to fill out and present to the teaching heroes who they believe truly make a difference in their schools. Downloadable superhero masks with digital literacy monikers are also available online for teachers to print and cut out, then wear and share in selfies using #teachersuperhero during the entirety of Teacher Appreciation Week.
