The summer program offers core math, science, history and English, as well as electives like Planning for College, Criminology, Digital Photography, Study Skills+, Physical Education, CAD computer science and more.

The Virtual High School (VHS Inc.), a non-profit organization empowering schools with the industry’s most extensive variety of online and blended learning programs, has opened registration for its 2018 summer program. The program begins June 20 and offers more than 30 online courses for credit recovery and enrichment. Courses are either eight weeks or four weeks long and are instructor-led and NCAA-approved. Students in grades 7-12 are eligible for the program. Eight-week courses begin on June 20. Four-week courses are offered in two sessions. The first series of four-week courses starts June 20. The second series begins July 23.

The summer program offers core math, science, history and English, as well as electives like Planning for College, Criminology, Digital Photography, Study Skills+, Physical Education, CAD computer science and more. For students looking to recover credits, especially those considering college athletics, The Virtual High School’s NCAA-approved summer courses can help students catch up and stay on track. In summer 2017, students taking VHS summer courses for credit recovery had a 75% pass rate.

“A summer enrichment program is an excellent way for students to continue learning during the summer months and explore subjects they might not have time for during the school year,” said Carol Ribeiro, President & CEO of VHS. “Because VHS summer courses can be accessed day or night, students can still meet work and other commitments while getting ahead academically.”

Additional information and registration for VHS summer courses is available at http://go.thevhs.org/summer.
