Scribefire test

I've been having a play around with Scribefire, which is a blogging application you can use from within your browser. In this test, I tried the "blog this page" feature, which enables you to, er, blog the web page you have open.

It's pretty handy, but I need to explore whether I can easily do the following:

  • Create title text for links without having to edit the underlying HTML code (I can do that, but I'd rather just do it the easy way, by entering the title in a box)
  • Publishing posts as drafts
  • Have the link open in a new tab. I set it to do that, which was easy. The only thing is, it didn't.

I think for the time being at least I will stick to Windows Live Writer. It's free, fully-featured -- and a bit flaky, but I can live with that. Still, it's always useful to know about alternatives. Scribefire isn't bad, and the article below talks about three others. I hope to explore them too when I get a bit of time.

4 Alternatives To Windows Live Writer For Blogging

Update:
I've had a chance to explore Scribefire in a little more depth. I've written a fuller review over at the Writer's Know-how website.
