Arts Alive: Instrument Lab: The Brass Section

3/29/2012 12:00:00 AM
The National Arts Centre of Canada created this educational website to celebrate the performing arts and encourage and provide resources for young artists. This particular web page introduces the brass section of the orchestra, providing a general overview of brass instruments and the way they are played. The four major brass instruments are then individually highlighted. You can view the virtual trumpet, French horn, trombone, and tuba, and listen to each. You can also access interviews with some of the professional brass players in the NAC Orchestra where you will find videos of the interviews and of the demonstrations of how each instrument is played.
