History Investigation: Old Hand Written Letter

4/18/2013 5:06:00 PM
Letter writing by hand is becoming a lost art. Letter writing in cursive is almost a dinosaur. We still write letters though, so it is interesting to investigate an old letter to see whether the kinds of things we talk about in letters has changed over the years. Zoom in on the old manuscript to see if you can answer the ten questions posed about who wrote it and the contents of the letter. If you have trouble deciphering the cursive, there is a transcript of the letter for you to read. Don’t miss the fun of working on the bonus question. The resources you’ll need are listed under the Procedure.
