Nobel Prize Educational Games: The Control of the Cell Cycle

9/17/2013 6:00:00 PM
The job of Cell Division Supervisor is yours as you play this game that shows how cells are replaced in your body. Three hundred million cells are replaced in your body every minute. Before you can begin as supervisor, you must review what happens to cells when they die and how they are replaced. Different cells divide at different rates, but the division follows a specific pattern called the Cell Cycle. Once you are sure of how this cycle works, you are ready for your job. When you enter the cell cycle control center, be prepared to make decisions that will let your cells grow, divide, and contain the correct chromosomes. Take your responsibility seriously!
