 The Siemens Foundation, Discovery Education and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)  announced the kick-off of the third annual Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge.

 The Siemens Foundation, Discovery Education and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) announced the kick-off of the third annual Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge, the national sustainability challenge that encourages all students, from kindergarten through twelfth grade, to team up with their classmates to create replicable solutions to environmental issues in their schools (grades K-5), community (grades 6-8) and world (grades 9-12).

Teachers, students and mentors can log on to www.wecanchange.com to register. Student and teacher/mentor prizes include savings bonds, school grants, exciting trips and much more.

The deadline for all entries is March 15, 2011.

The Siemens Foundation, Discovery Education, the National Science Teachers Association, and the College Board today named the 24 middle school and 24 high school state finalists in the third annual Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge.

The Siemens Foundation, Discovery Education, the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) and the College Board today announced the finalists in the 2012 Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge, a national competition designed to encourage K-12 students to tackle environmental issues in their own communities. These 72 teams– comprised of more than 850 students representing 34 states – will vie for more than $300,000 in scholarships, educational trips, and other prizes for their work on advancing the global green initiative.
