New clicker system offers QWERTY keyboard

SMART Technologies announces SMART Response XE interactive response system, which includes keyboard-style handheld wireless remotes (or clickers), a receiver and assessment software.

Teachers can ask as many as 100 questions in a single lesson, and the full QWERTY keyboard offers teachers flexibility to ask more question types and enables students to submit advanced math and science equations as well as text answers.

SMART Response XE will begin shipping in the summer of 2010, and will be available in packs of 32 remotes with a suggested education list price in the United States of approximately US$2,800.
