ASCD announces the release of three new PD Online® courses focused on Common Core State Standards and differentiated instruction.
The first course, The Core Six: Teaching with the Common Core State Standards in Mind, provides educators with six essential strategies to support schoolwide efforts to improve performance while implementing the new standards. This course includes learning modules focused on each of the six strategies, a virtual tool kit featuring multimedia presentations, video examples, and a digital copy of the book The Core Six: Essential Strategies for Achieving Excellence with the Common Core.
ASCD has also released two courses that focus on differentiated instruction:
- Differentiated Instruction: The Curriculum Connection addresses the role of curriculum in designing and delivering high-quality instruction.
- Differentiated Instruction: Using Ongoing Assessment to Inform Instruction addresses how teachers in differentiated classrooms should plan for ongoing formative and summative assessments and how they can use results to better inform instruction.
Both courses include videos, in-depth readings, personal reflections from educators in the field, and practical applications to help educators implement differentiated instruction in their schools or classrooms.
