New Free Math Resources for CCSS Announced

Khan Academy announced today at the 2014 Annual CUE Conference its new math resources to support teachers and students through the rollout of the Common Core.

Khan Academy has spent the past year working with 40 math educators to design thousands of new interactive math exercises to help prepare students for the Common Core standards. These new exercises cover conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application, the three components of rigor emphasized by the Common Core.

Teachers can now use Khan Academy’s new Common Core Map to help them find math exercises by standard and assign them to students. Teachers can then use real-time reports to track each student’s progress at any time throughout the year, against the Common Core standards for each grade level and identify which students might need more attention.
