Cloud-Based LMS Welcomes Four New K-12 Customers

Two schools and two districts have adopted a cloud-based learning management system from itslearning (www.itslearning.net). Despite their different pedagogical environments, Urban Community School in Cleveland, Escondido Charter School in California, Fraser Public Schools in Michigan and Rosedale Union School District in Bakersfield, Calif. have all found that the digital learning platform meets their individual needs.

Designed for the K-12 sector, itslearning is a cloud-based learning management system (LMS) that helps teachers to engage today’s “digitally wired” students anytime, anywhere and on any device. The platform allows blogs, individualized learning plans, communities and ePortfolios.

Rosedale Union's assistant superintendent, Sue Lemon, led the initiative to introduce a learning management system into the district and was recently awarded the title of regional administrator of the year. Fraser School District has become well-known in Michigan and beyond as an innovative school district. One example of Fraser's initiatives is their iPad adoption, which is, to date, the largest such program in the state.

The learning platform’s integration with existing school and district systems gives teachers a way to share instructional resources, assignments and activities, and assessments with students and parents via personalized dashboards. At the same time, the solution automatically adapts to support individual learning styles. A proprietary ‘standards mastery and recommendation engine’ automates the recommendation of resources and activities based upon standards mastery assessments.
