Cameras for classrooms

Wingscapes’ two motion-activated bird cameras, called Audubon BirdCam and BirdCam 2.0, can create a slide show of close-up photos of every bird species that visits a bird feeder in a season. The bird cameras can also shoot close-up videos of birds at a feeder or the growth progression of baby birds. A Timelapse PlantCam enables a classroom of students to watch the entire growing cycle of a plant in a minute or two.Teachers who want to enter the Cameras for Classrooms contest should write an essay of 500 to 750 words telling why their classroom needs a BirdCam or PlantCam and how they will use the camera to benefit students. To enter, visit www.camerasforclassrooms.com. All entries must be received by January 31, 2011.
