Chance to Win Document Camera Monthly

The next winners will be announced October 1, 2009
Publish date:

AVerMedia® Information, Inc. announced today that 23 CP300 interactive document cameras (a total retail value of $16,100) have been awarded to educators across the country since August 2008.

The monthly contests run within the environment of the online teacher's forum where educators are encouraged to share their knowledge about teaching, classroom technology and best practices.

The first contest is the monthly posting contest in which one relevant post is drawn randomly and the author of that post is awarded a document camera. The second contest is the friend referral contest. The forum member with the most referrals at the end of the month will be rewarded for their efforts with an interactive document camera as well.

The next winners will be announced October 1, 2009.

The Department of Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an artist organization called The Grafting Parlour will capture and transmit images of living cells using an AVerVision CP300 document camera and streaming video to the Lightwave 2009 event at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.  Connecting to a microscope in the MIT Biological Engineering Lab, the camera captures live images of the bacteria, then broadcasts the images through the AVerVision Software and a third-party video streaming service for live viewing at Trinity College.
