With more than 300 classic and modern texts, Sync-Library offers an expanding collection of literature, engaging writing prompts and rich media to build student interest. Many of the texts appear in Appendix B of the Common Core State Standards, and were chosen to match the curriculum of courses taught in middle school through high school, as well as at the college level. The text excerpts are designed to inspire students to read the complete work, and can be used in any discipline, including English, language arts, social studies, history, and science.

StudySync podcasts offer new way for students to use digital media content in the classroom, while advancing listening and critical thinking skills   NEW YORK (April 11, 2017) – StudySync, powered by BookheadEd Learning, LLC, and McGraw-Hill Education, a learning science company, today announced the addition of a new audio podcast feature to StudySync, a comprehensive blended ELA (English Language Arts)/ELD (English Language Development) program for grades 6-12. The first podcast series, titled “School of Thought,” explores students’ views on 21st century learning, while helping students improve important listening and critical thinking skills.  

21st-Century skills rewarded

 Students from New Castle Junior and Senior High School were awarded the 2008-2009 Project Ignition Best of the Best Award from State Farm and the National Youth Leadership Council (www.nylc.org), during the 20th Annual National Service-Learning Conference held in Nashville, TN. The New Castle “Drive Safe” team used writing, math and communications skills to build an effective service-learning project that has touched the lives of thousands and inspired peers to join their effort.  Click through for more details:
