Climate Connections: It’s All About Carbon

Robert Krulwich, host of NPR's climate connections videos, is a master of explaining carbon and its role in nature, especially in global warming. His discussions in five short videos are interesting, easily understood, and feature clever cartooning. In the first video he describes about the ubiquity of carbon as the central element of life. Next, cartoons show how carbon makes bonds and how those bonds are so tight. When the bonds are broken, energy and carbon dioxide are produced. The last video gives options of how to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide we produce, and thus reduce the greenhouse effect and global warming.
