Brief Description of the Site:
Tony Vincent teaches 5th grade at Willowdale Elementary School in Omaha, Nebraska. Each year his students use the class Web site to share their learning experiences. Visitors to the site can read about current activities, view student work, and learn about the history of the site, which Vincent has maintained since 1999.
How to use the site:
This site is a great venue for students to share their work and for parents to stay up-to-date on classroom events. Be sure to visit the Student Work area which features art, interactive stories, essays, and more. Another intriguing area, Learning in Hand, can be accessed through the Class Info link. Each of Vincent’s students has a Palm Handheld Computer and flexible keyboard. This area includes links to activities, freeware applications, classroom management tips and tutorials, as well as other resources. A must see for teachers interested in using handhelds with students.
