Science Is Fun: Home Experiments

Kids from age six to sixteen will enjoy performing experiments on this website. Play with soap bubbles by floating them in carbon dioxide. Observe the colors on the bubbles and read about why they occur. Make plastic from common household materials and watch what happens to it as you roll, drop, or flatten it. Experiment with Bernoulli’s principle, float bowling balls in water, and learn how to get an egg through the opening of a bottle without your even touching it. Each experiment is accompanied by an easy to understand explanation of what you should do and why it works.
