The United Nations’ Refugee Agency presents an array of lesson plans and activities that will help your students understand the plight of refugees throughout the world. Click on “Lesson Plans” and you will find plans for elementary, middle school, and high school students that can be used in Social Studies and Language Arts classes. In addition there are handouts to support the lessons. Find the specialized vocabulary used in describing the issues that concern refugees, internally displaced persons, and human rights.
