Class Tech Tips: Walking with Dinosaurs: Interactive Informational Text

Many television shows and museum exhibitions have companion apps that bring content to your fingertips. Walking With Dinosaurs: Inside Their World from BBC Earth is a fantastic app with tons of high quality content. Students can read articles about how fossils are formed or learn about dinosaur extinction before checking out encyclopedia style entries.

Each piece of informational text includes the ability to hear it read aloud. This app is perfect for engaging students when learning about nonfiction text features or simply conducting research on dinosaurs or earth science. Despite the advertisement that pops up on the first screen, Walking With Dinosaurs: Inside Their World is a kid-friendly app that your students will love.
