My usual kneejerk reaction to concerns about student data and privacy reverts to the admittedly glib question of: “Who really cares about Johnny’s 2nd grade math scores anyway?” That being said, the topic is pressing for the edtech community and continues to populate the Tech&Learning news feeds. Cindy Ng gives an insightful analysis on the Veronis  blog. And Edsurge proposes some straightforward suggest for protections here. Am I wrong to feel this is much ado about nothing?
