Yoga Activity Card

3/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers a wide range of activity cards that explain many different kinds of physical activity. This one describes what you need to begin practicing yoga. Find out what kind of gear you’ll need, and how to warm up your muscles so you don’t strain them while you practice your yoga routine. Included are instructions for a game that helps you work on your concentration and body control. Yoga gives you a full body work-out and also helps your mindfulness. Learn some of the yoga positions and see how yoga helps you not only become stronger, but also less stressed.
