I used to have one or (at the most) two books on my nightstand. I started a book, then finished it before I began the second book.

I would like to invite you to the1-DayBlue Photo Challenge, a challenge to become meta cognitively aware of the process of documentation.

Just recently, I started learning about the Seesaw platform by attending several workshops at different conferences.

If you read myprevious post, you know that I have been working with 3 other women educators and entrepreneurs to bring you relevant affordable courses.

We believe in globally connected learning, not only for students and schools, but for ourselves.

All our best strategies, plans, projects, initiatives, etc. will all come to nothing and fizzle out, if we, as educators are NOT engaged as leaders and learners.

The traditional paper and pencil method is not the only way to jot down what was said, what we heard, our ideas, connections, etc.

The following is an attempt to document learning andto make something invisible visible.

Here are the 3 things, above all, that I wish educators knew about their own learning.

I would classify most of the “documentation” media I see being shared as a display!

I have experimented with infographics, sketchnotes, slides, and hybrid visuals.

Documentation as a teacher, as a student, as learners can take on many different forms.

How could we give teachers the opportunity to experiencedocumenting FOR and AS learning?

What can be sketchnoted? Books, TED Talks, Lectures, Articles, Brainstorming sessions, Presentations, Birthday Cards or blog posts.

On October 14th, the 3rd #ampliefiEDU Twitter Chat was held with the topic ofDocumenting FOR Learning.

I have taken a step back to look at the bigger picture and the different components schools need to consider and gain fluency in order to best harvest the power of social media for them.

Social media for schoolsis about storytelling and getting their stakeholders (teachers, students, administrators, parents, community) to spread these stories.

With a tagline Teacher entrepreneurship: Realizing and understanding that the middle man is gone! I was on board.

Together with Andrea Hernandez (USA), Chic Foote (New Zealand) and Silvana Meneghini (Brazil), we will practice what we preach and amplify teaching and learning via a Twitter Chat.

Is digital note taking worse than taking your notes on a piece of paper?

I have come a long way by studying and learning from other sketchnoters: their techniques, their tools, their thinking process, their signature people, objects and metaphors.
